★ EXPERIENCE ★
Candace discovered her passion for writing early. She was the nerd in high school who got excited about writing essays while the other kids grimaced. Writing always felt like a fun puzzle for her.
She got her start in college as editor-in-chief of her school newspaper. While covering music festivals like Bonnaroo, she noticed the PR and content folks had way cooler jobs. She switched majors to Public Relations and never looked back.
Since then, she’s helped tech companies of all sizes establish themselves as innovators in the future of work.
Candace is a copywriter and content writer for unapologetically bold tech teams working toward a more connected and more inclusive world.
★ BACKGROUND ★
Candace lives just outside Seattle with her boyfriend Rob and their two sweet dogs: a golden retriever named Dolly (after Dolly Parton), and a shetland sheepdog named Bunsen (after the Muppet!). They’ll probably make an appearance on Zoom calls.
She spends her free time serving as a local chapter leader for Latinas in Tech, where she heads communications. She also loves hiking, painting, and picking up new skills.
